AUTUMN 2025
AUTUMN 2025
In honor of a year since making my first cut-and-sewn garments (SOHO Capsule), I designed a three-look capsule collection for summer and autumn wear. The collection includes a lined mock zip-up, a ringer tee, and a pair of front-darted shorts. My goal was to create pieces with a clean, refined silhouette that are durable enough for everyday wear, yet thoughtfully detailed with subtle functional and aesthetic elements. Each garment carries its own sense of character and individuality, reflecting how I’ve continued to refine both my craftsmanship and design identity over the past year.

FIT SESSION
Conducted a fit session and identified several issues, including draglines at the armscye caused by incorrect sleeve-to-body fitting. This was corrected by adjusting the sleeve attachment and adding 1” of ease. The primary issue was in the neckline—on both samples, the mock neck was too wide, tall, and protruded outward. I addressed this by extending the shoulder length by 1” and raising the neckline by 1” to create a shallower, more balanced curve.
For the shorts, the main issue was the waistband, which was poking out and fitting loosely. We corrected this by curving the band pattern instead of keeping it straight. Another issue was excess fabric at the leg openings along both the inseam and outseam; I resolved this by tapering the pattern in by ½” on each side. Lastly, while the pockets functioned, the bag was too shallow and risked items not being secure. To address this, I added 2” of depth and reshaped the opening. Instead of a standard U-curve, which we found restrictive in competitor styles, I exaggerated the curve into a more circular shape and slightly enlarged the opening to create a more organic, accessible feel.
